Jason Derstine - CEO/President
Jason founded Alura Business Solutions in 2003. A graduate of Temple University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Information Science and Technology and Business Administration, he has a diverse and comprehensive background. He has years of experience in helping small businesses get the maximum return on their investment in their technology systems. Jason is responsible for long and short term customer planning, technology forecasting and keeping Alura on the cutting edge with the latest technologies. It is Jason’s goal to continue to provide quality and affordable technology solutions to all of our customers.
Ryan Rosenkaimer - Vice President
Ryan joined Alura in 2010 where he worked closely with Jason to restructure Alura’s customer support systems. He holds a Bachelors of Science degree from DeVry University in Computer Information Systems Security. Bringing over 10 years of experience in computer information security and network management support, Ryan also has extensive experience in Unix/Linux, Firewall Security, Web Development/Coding, Virtualization and Microsoft Active Directory environments. Ryan has a great understanding of customer issues and has the skills needed in order to get those issues solved. Ryan brings the experience to help support the most diverse of IT systems.
Elias Grim - Director of Managed Services
Elias has over 10 years of consulting experience, paired with a degree in Management Science and Information Systems from Penn State University. He specializes in integration of differing technologies to provide complete solutions for small businesses.
Barb Boyer - Director of Business Development
Barb Boyer joined Alura as Director of Business Development in 2012. Barb’s addition to the team expands Alura’s customer service capabilities through her vast and diverse expertise gained while in senior management positions for Nike, Honeywell and David’s Bridal. Barb’s position reinforces Alura’s commitment to provide exceptional customer service. Barb’s rich background includes in-depth experience in the areas of Finance, Sales, Marketing and Operations allowing her to assess and meet customer needs through a comprehensive business view. Barb has an MBA and BS in Business Administration from University of Connecticut.
Steven Moffett – Network Administrator
Steven holds a Bachelors of Science degree from Ursinus College in Computer Science. Steven’s background includes managing large scale computer deployments, user management, and computer programming. Over the years Steven has provided on-site and remote support for a variety of customers giving a quick and efficient solution to any IT problem that may occur during business operations.
Michael Fiala – Network Administrator
A new addition to our team, Michael brings with him over ten years of telecommunications and customer support experience. Michael’s background includes working closely with business and individual (or personal) customers to provide a vast range of problem-solving techniques. Michael’s computer networking experience includes efficiency in Linux/Unix systems, Firewall Administration, Hosted PBX systems and SIP and traditional voice platforms.
Raymond Lent – Support Technician
Ray graduated from DeVry University with a bachelor’s degree in networking and communications management. He has extensive background in both IT help desk and mobile IT technician experience. With over five years of computer networking experience, including Cisco, Windows, and Linux, Ray is a promising new addition to the team.
Mike Grey – Support Technician
Mike specializes in servicing the unique needs of the home-based client, utilizing his combined professional expertise in both technology and retail. With a customer-centric approach, Mike can ensure your satisfaction and comfort with his pragmatic solutions to your technology demands. By offering a wide range of concierge services, Mike’s home-based clients can finally have more free time to enjoy their technology.
Mindy Gallagher – Office Administrator
Mindy joined our team with over 3 years of prior office experience, and is responsible for the daily operations of our office. She provides administrative and client-related support to the entire Alura team as well as customer service to our valued customers.
